Arles photographic meetings

During the opening week of the Photographic Meetings, the Fondation des Treilles sets up in Arles. From July 2 to 6, 2024, join us at 6, place Louis Blanc to discover the Residency Prize for Photography and the Escourbiac – Fondation des Treilles Prize, but also present your work to our experts (portfolio reading upon registration), participate in workshops (registration required), meet our winners, etc.

 

Provisional programme

Tuesday, July 2nd

10am – Portfolio reading with Alessandra Chiericato, Eric Bouvet, Denise Zanet
3pm – Workshop – La commande photographique commerciale avec les Filles de la photo (Commercial photographic commissioning with girls from the photographic field) with Florence Moll, photographer agent [register here]
4:30pm – Meeting with Jean-Christophe Ballot, 2023 laureate of the photography prize : 400 years in Rome

Wednesday, July 3rd

11am – Presentation of the Fondation des Treilles and its laureates with Jean-Luc Monterosso, Jury president of the photograph residency
12am – Signature of Aubes et crépuscules (dawns and twilights)(éditions Odyssée) from Dominique Laugé
4:30pm – Meeting with Raed Bawayah, 2011 laureate of the Photography Prize : Fenêtres sur l’Ukraine (Windows on Ukraine)
6:30pm – Signature of Loin des jardins (far from gardens) (éditions De l’air, des livres) from Sophie Hatier, 2020 laureate of the Photography Prize

Thursday, July 4th

10am – Portfolio reading with Denise Zanet & Hélène Allain, Raed Bawayah, Aurélie Kahn
3pm – Workshop – Pourquoi et comment faire un livre photo en 2024 (why and how to make a photo book in 2024) with Alain Escourbiac & John Briens (Escourbiac l’imprimeur) and Camille Gallet (éditions Odyssée) [register here]
4:30pm – Meeting with Jeanne Taris, 2024 laureate of the Escourbiac – Fondation des Treilles Prize : Les Gitans intimes (intimate gypsies) followed by a signature

Friday, July 5th

10am – Portfolio reading with Stéphane Brasca, John Briens, Benoît Pelletier, Bruno Chalifour
3pm – Workshop – Piezography® : impressions numériques aux charbons (digital charcoal prints) by Patrick Borie Duclaud, director of Taos Photographic [register here]
4:30pm – Meeting with Nicolas Comment, 2017 laureate of the Photography Prize : Blue movie / bleu mental (éd. André Frère). Followed by a signature

Saturday, July 6th

3pm – Workshop – Collections patrimoniales et création contemporaine en photographie au musée de l’Armée (Heritage collections and contemporary photography creation at the Army Museum) by Lucie Moriceau-Chastagner  in charge of the photographic collections of the Army Museum – assistant to the head of the fine arts and heritage department) [register here]
4:30pm – Meeting with Mohammed Madhy, 2023 laureate of the Photography Prize : La puissance du Récit Collectif et sa relation avec l’Unicité du narrateur (The power of the Collective Story and its relationship with the Uniqueness of the narrator).
