]]> Because of the pandemic, your seminar planned for this year has been canceled and will be postponed to 2022. Thank you in advance for filling in the form below and indicating the dates of your choice for its reprogramming. 

REMINDER OF THE RULES

  • The estate “Les Treilles” has been created to offer conditions suitable for concentration and creativity.
  • Seminars are intended for all researchers and all creators. They are open to all fields of knowledge where creativity can express itself beyond the laboratory or the studio.
  • To facilitate the evaluation of your application by the Treilles Scientific Council, your request must include the names of three people likely to act as referees.
  • The Foundation can contribute to the travel costs within the limits of the estimate provided in the request form (see below). However, organizers are strongly advised to seek outside funding. For information, the funds not used for the reimbursement of the travel arangements will be allocated towards the young researcher prize.
  • The maximum duration is one week, from Monday afternoon to Saturday morning. The Foundation expects all participants to remain for the duration of the seminar.
  • The invitations are strictly personal. The Foundation is not able to accommodate third parties such as family members of the invited guests.
  • One month maximum after the meeting, the organizer will send a two-page summary of the meeting for publication on the Foundation’s research blog AND a twenty-line synthesis for the Board’s annual activity report.
  • The Fondation des Treilles expects that its support be acknowledged in any work or publication resulting from the residency; authors are invited to forward two copies of their publication.

First Meeting
of the Fondation des Treilles
May 11 to 20, 2018

The first Treilles meetings took place in Paris, from May 11 to 20, 2018, at the Hôtel de Sauroy, 58 rue Charlot (75003).

The program of these first days testified to the essence of the activities developed by the foundation : the organization of seminars and residential studies devoted to research in all areas of knowledge, actions or meetings for pedagogical purposes, the reception in residence of writers and photographers, the training of young singers in the framework of a Voice Academy or the enhancement of the collection of works of art bequeathed by the founder.

Friday, May 11th 
Meetings opening

The opening of the first exhibition of his collection of photographic works took place on that day.

Then, every day, researchers, creators, writers and musicians who had come to the Treilles proposed an event.

Saturday, May 12th 
Singing Recital and Theorbo

Presented by Ivan Alexander, director of the Academy of the Voice, and interpreted by Paul-Antoine Benos (counter-tenor, academician) and Thomas Dunford (theorbo).

Sunday, May 13th
Photographing the Treilles

With Dominique Laugé.

Monday, May 14th
The Treilles or an architectural utopia

Round table with Maurice Culot, Pierre-Antoine Gatier, Adrien Goetz and Jean-Baptiste Minnaert. On the occasion of this round table, presentation of the book “Modernes Arcadies, Mansions and gardens inspired from the nineteenth-twentieth centuries” published in November 2017 at AAM Editions and from the eponymous seminar that took place in the Treilles in March 2011 .

Tuesday, May 15th
Innovation and Society : The Mad Toad Manifesto

Presented by Thanh Nghiem, author of the manifesto and founder of the Crazy Toads movement.

Wednesday, May 16th
